Hours of Operation
The Student Center building is always open from
7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Hours are extended into the evening when there are either scheduled activities or requests by students to use the building.
Facilities
Main Building:
Our
1st floor facilities include a recreation room featuring restrooms, vending machines, study/dining tables and chairs, sofas and cable large-screen TV. The
recreation room is for STUDENT USE ONLY. Remodeling and enlargement of this area is planned. New features will include a concessions area with a coffee-house environment and outdoor enhancements. The office of our
lay campus minister, Ms. Jacqui Courtney, is located on the 1st floor, with access from the east stairwell. The
Counseling services office operated by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge is also located on the 1st floor, accessed from the foyer (main entrance).
Our
2nd floor facilities include a
quiet study area, library, and a multi-purpose room which houses a
Wii and
ping-pong table, and a
coffee/lunch room with microwave, refrigerator/freezer and icemaker. Our "
Starving Student Fridge" always has home-cooked food available for consumption. The quiet study area also includes (4) computers equipped with Microsoft Office Professional XP and DSL fast internet access for research and checking e-mail. The computers are networked to a common printer. The
offices of campus minister--Sr. Renée Daigle, MSC, chaplain--Fr. Randy Cuevas, secretary--Mrs. Cindy Scardina, and physical plant manager--Mr. John R. "Juba" Johnson--are all located on the 2nd floor.
The
courtyard between the buildings is also available for students to enjoy. It is equipped with picnic tables and park benches.
WI-FI
BOTH floors of our Student Center building as well as the courtyard are equipped with free WI-FI access for your laptop.
ACCESS FOR THE MOBILITY IMPAIRED
Both "student services" floors of the Student Center are accessible via elevator.
Chapel Building:
Our chapel opens into an auditorium with chairs and tables and a stage area that service almost any occasion.

Smoke-free Environment:
All the common-use areas of our inside facilities are “smoke-free” for the health of all our patrons. Thank you for not smoking. Outside seating areas are available for smokers.
